Business Connections on your Doorstep
North West businesses have decided to go to the Isle of Man for a trade visit on the 8th April returning the 9th April. The Isle of Man GDP was £3.8bn in 2011/12, an increase of 7.9% and the 29th year of growth a great place to trade with.
Over the last few years there has been a massive regeneration programme across the North West of England. Investment into the city of Liverpool has continued well past 2008 when they were the European Capital of Culture which has been a springboard for the region to generate development and business opportunities.
The Isle of Man has long established links with the North West. Many of us have childhood holiday memories of the Island, some even share the same surnames!
In turn the people of the Isle of Man are familiar with the North West as we are normally a staging point for onward journeys with our fantastic sea and air links.
With the International Business Festival hosted by Liverpool looming, 3FM and Quinn Legal have teamed up with Liverpool events company, Second Skin Events Ltd and the Hoo-Doo Network Ltd., to organise a networking event to be held on the Isle of Man to explore those business connections on our doorstep and see where the Isle of Man and the North West can work together for mutual business benefits.
Between 25 and 50 professionals and senior business figures will travel to the Island on the 8th April and take part in what could be the networking event of the year which has the full backing of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce.
Leaving Liverpool by boat at 7pm on 8th and arriving Douglas late evening. We will be staying at the Palace Hotel and will start the proceedings with a business breakfast at 08:00 the following morning.
09:00 – 10:00 Five presentations from our visitors each one highlighting areas of development in Merseyside. This will be matched by five presentations from the Island including the CEO of the Department of Economic Development and CEO of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce.
10:00 – 1200 Speed networking sessions. This will allow time for business to business to connect on a face to face basis. Making connections and finding areas of common ground is at the heart of these sessions with an exchange of ideas and professional services will undoubtedly prove valuable to all of the delegates at the event.
12:00 – 13:00 Open networking over a buffet lunch and a final exchange of contact information before the event closes at 1300.
Please don’t miss this opportunity to take part in this event it could open the door to the business opportunities and new markets.
