…. An outstanding Networking opportunity
Second Skin Events had the absolute pleasure of accompanying the Hoo-Doo Network on a corporate package to the Liverpool Hope Tennis Tournament held for the first time in Liverpool Cricket Club on Aigburth Road.
The new venue was perfectly suited to such a fantastic event, lovingly created and brought to Liverpool by Anders Borg 12 years ago when he had a marvellous dream of bringing Tennis to everyone who could only watch previously from afar. Anders and his trusted PA Viktoriya Sabotinova have brought a dream to life for so many young budding athletes across the world who travel to take part in this prestige annual event.
I had the pleasure of witnessing Jodie Burrage (GBR) take home the trophy in her match on centre court against Tara Moore (GBR). (6-4 – 7-5). This year we were also blessed with the perfect weather for tennis, the atmosphere was electric.
The Liverpool Tennis had a the pleasure of a special guest who I bumped into at centre court…
The one and only Virginia Wade, looking fabulous as ever.
The day itself was set to impress all who attended, with plenty to do and to see both on and off court. We had games for the kids, beers and crabbies on tap and ice cream galore.
The corporate suite had been well set out with a great mix of businesses and a few interesting stands. Mark Blankstone from blankstone opticians ready to decorate the networkers and revellers with his stunning designer eye wear. Mark has been doing some fantastic work with Diane Cannon this year, Diane is a registered fund raiser for Melanoma UK.
My corporate table had a fantastic mix of businesses including Rita Hunter of Rita Hunter Travel (the only way to travel), Frank Rogers from Brown Turner Ross solicitors and his lovely wife Lesley (specialising in Motor convictions) Brendon Kenny from The Hoo-Doo Network (you must have heard of the hours on Twitter #Bizhour #Northwestshour they have many more, you MUST onto these to widen your twitter network) Allan Jeffcoatt of AJ Associates who specialise in strategic business planning to help develop your business to new levels and last but by no means least the lovely Rose Mallon and her son John Mallon who is a budding journalist… one to watch for the future!
The overall Tournament ran over 4 days from 19th – 22nd June each day with its own exciting line up off players and fabulous guests, oh not to mention the stunning fashion show they had on display and the carnival dancers!
If you can only attend one corporate event in 2015 you should seriously consider making this it.
