Are you making the most of your exhibition stand? 



Eye-Catching  – Come up with something eye-catching so people will want to stop and talk to you


Make the most from your space – You are given floor space at your chosen exhibition, but have you thought about using the space above you? You need to make yourself and your display stand out from the crowd.


Stand Out – Make sure you are memorable; an activity that engages the guests to interact with you is sure to get you remembered.


Talk about the benefits – Stop being sales oriented in your marketing message. Giving more unbiased information gives you credibility as an authority that is looking out for the best interests of you audience. Focus on the needs of your customers. Give the impression that you are more unbiased and open-minded.



What works for you? – Be sure to always ask how people heard of you so that you can track your return on investment (ROI). This way you will find which shows and which marketing techniques work best for you. Giving you an opportunity to try and test new techniques at different events.



Put your best foot forward


Once you have set up your stand don’t expect your visual aids to do all the work for you. You need to be on your feet, giving people a reason to stop and chat to you about your business. Don’t play with your phone, don’t eat at your stand, people will make snap judgments about you and your business. You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression





Take advantage of promotional opportunities before and during the show

Many shows will allow exhibitors to sponsor certain aspects of the show or promotional material to gain brand exposure. Think of everything you could possibly sponsor and then ask if you can do it.

Does the show offer a sponsorship spot for the bags, can you put a small sample in each one?

What about for the main features and marketing material, can you get your products in the show or help in any way? Can you have your branding on all the marketing for the event?

If you have selected your exhibition well, exposure like this will provide you with a great advertising opportunity direct to your customer base.

An exhibition is the only marketing medium that puts you in a room full of prequalified potential clients, and they provide instantly measurable results. Make the most of it!
